Coming back to yesterday's track, it just didn't strike me as being on par with the rest of the music on the album. I think this is because, while all the other tracks proceeded in an organic fashion with no clear plan, this newest track proceeded more superficially with a clear goal. As a result, it comes across as a pale imitation rather than an original.

So, instead of beating it to death, I spent the morning doing final tweaks on the 6 completed tracks. Here is the album as it stands this evening:

To my ears, it feels very complete and cohesive.

Still, we do have a few more days left to experiment, so I'll ask one last time for your suggestions: sounds? ideas? emotions? images?

Who knows? Maybe I'll stumble upon some hidden gem tomorrow morning!

I would be happy if you included a track where you again play very fast and the track does not use arpeggios. The feeling would be self-determining.

Thanks for that suggestion. I question whether something very fast would fit within the context of the album as a whole, though. I have a feeling it would be too jarring to throw a fast track into the middle of the album. Still, I do agree that the album needs something more rhythmic and self-determining. On we go.

Arrrg...OK, you're not going to like this, and what do I know after all, but this was the first time I thought I was watching a cool video at a technology trade show. Not sure what triggered that reaction, so do what thou wilt. Could just be my state of mind today...

Thanks, Bart. So, was that a good thing? It sounds like maybe you're referring to the sound of standard "music library" tracks, and I would agree with you on that, as far as Day 24 goes. In its present form, it doesn't have the distinct and unique sound of the rest of the album. I do like it, though, and am trying to find a way to incorporate the core feeling into something that is worthy of inclusion. Thanks for coming along with me.
